Highlight the date (or column/row of dates) that you want to change (re-format)

On the menu, Format --- Cells
On the right side of the window, you will see sample, type, and Locale
Use the dropdown menu to change the Locale from English (United States) to
English (United Kingdom) and then choose from the Type in the box above.
Review the Sample pane to see if that is what you want.
