What is meant is to REPLY to the original message instead of writing a new
message which may not relate to anything unless you see the original. That
is a "thread"

The sample contains the revised suggestion to your original posting to
use a
helper sheet (Y) to group together the discontiguous source range (in X)
into a continuous range. The formula in H8 (in X) then points to the
continuous range in Y for the appropriate evaluations. Full construct
details are provided in the sample file.

Take a look at the sample, and test out the returns in H8 using various
sets
of inputs in the 11 source cells.
