Wouldn't it be correct that the person who gave the link answer be honest
enough to know first the above quotes before suggesting it especially to a
new excel user ?

I do not know what "checked marks" you are referring to. But
generally, nothing posted in these forums is guaranteed to work even
for the current suite of MS products, much less any future upgrades.

I am not questioning about all of the ms products...I am pertaining only on
the formula structuring of excel thru this forum - no more no less.

I consider the help files as a true guarantee

Even for Microsoft products, I am reasonably sure that statements made
in Help pages are not intended to "guarantee" anything. (Disclaimer:
