Default Formatting Data Lists

A B C D E F G H I
110 250 Wages 100.00 110 250 Wages 100.00 formula
120 310 Advert 564.00 125 564 Misc 654.00
125 564 Misc 654.00 130 425 Training 854.00

Insert this formula in I1
=VLOOKUP(E1,A1:D3,4,FALSE)

It will return the value from column D that matches cost center in column E.
Then you can calculate the difference between column H and I.

When I import data from my accounts package it is not lined up against
previous imported data. How can I line the rows up so I can subtract one
column away from another.

A B C D E F G H
110 250 Wages 100.00 110 250 Wages 100.00
120 310 Advert 564.00 125 564 Misc 654.00
125 564 Misc 654.00 130 425 Training 854.00

A is the Cost centre, B is the Expense code, C is the detail and D is the
Amount.
