Just correct the following line in the code by adding an e..........

To:
If Not Intersect(Target, range(WS_RANGE)) Is Nothing Then

Then it works fine in my Excel 97 and the cells with <enter in them add as
zeros.

Put <enter in those cells to begin, and then add

This is worksheet event code, which means that it needs to be
placed in the appropriate worksheet code module, not a standard
code module. To do this, right-click on the sheet tab, select
the View Code option from the menu, and paste the code in.
