Default Rotating excel spreadsheet for use in photoshop/ using diamond cel

JLatham, sal2

I just wanted to mention that a background image can be difficult to keep
lined up with cells. The background image is placed on the monitor in
actual size (pixel for pixel) and doesn't respond to zooming in and out. So
it will get out of alignment with the cells when zoom is changed. And it
doesn't print.

One method might be to use Photoshop to create a graphic with the diamond
grid and then use that graphic to simulate a watermark in Excel. Use
Excel
Help and search for "watermark" or "insert watermark" for instructions on
how
to do it. You could also turn off displaying/printing gridlines for a
cleaner output. It will probably take some trial and error to get the
graphic to the right dimensions and adjust column heights/widths to align
things within the diamonds.

Greetings, All

I'm trying to get the basic spreadsheet that has square cells that looks
like this
http://www.onewithall.net/rodin/excel_squares.jpg
to look like this with diamond cells that looks like this
http://www.onewithall.net/rodin/excel_diamonds.jpg

Can Excel do this?
I know I can type them in manually in photoshop but I need to input 100's
of numbers. If excel can't do this can someone recommend another program
or suggests a better way of doing it if they have one.

Thanks
sal2

PS: What I'm trying to do.
I'm trying import an image of excel numbers (which will be 100s)
into Photoshop to map an object.
