Default Check Boxes in excel 2007

Hans - thanks for the reply but I cannot locate the green triangle which
respresents design, can you lead me to where that is located? Also I am
runnning Excel 2007 (beta), not sure if you picked that up or not. I look
forward to your reply and thanks for the effort so far.

How does one insert a check box in 2007? I just need it to display a check
mark when selected. Nothing more complex than that. Any ideas?

You can insert a checkbox from the controls toolbar.

Click "design" (the grean triangle) then click the checkbox icon and
drag a rectangle over the cell where you want the checkbox to appear.
Then right click the checkbox and select "properties", Under "linked
cell" you specify the cell that's going to hold the result of the
checkbox and under "caption" you explain what the box is to specify.

Regards

Hans
