Default How do I produce Automatic Quotation Numbers in Excel?

its easy
You need a quotes"register" where the quote details are filled out,ie
name, adress etc etc,and this is where the number generated and kept. When you
need to retrive a quote you can search the register(also a excel sheet) so
you can find the quote for Mr Blogs of 67 somewhere street, and find it is
quote number 5007.I used to run a system where the number was actually
generated from a BOOK.In this way someone who doesnt always have access to
the computer system can find a quote number without bugging you to find
it!.Keep the system simple maybe the date with an extra number or
something. If its logical and simple it will make filing and finding the
quotes easy for everyone
