no how do i convert that into a percentage for the entire row?

a1 complete?
a2 yes
a3 no
a4 no
a5 no
a6 percent complete
a7 25%

Here's one way for A7:

=COUNTIF(A2:A5,"yes")/COUNTIF(A2:A5,"*")

Format A7 as type "percent."
