Default linear growth rate graphing calculator

Forecast does linear growth (growth doesn't).

You would get one value per year forcasted (per formula entered in a single
cell) - just specify that year consistent with your historical dates.

Take a look at the help on forecast. The explanation and example seem
pretty straight forward.

I am trying to project/forecast figures in ms excel based on the
performance
of several previous years. I tried using the GROWTH and FORECAST functions
but I am still getting errors everytime.
Can you tell me how to create
a) a line graph which can forecast figures for 'n' number of future years
as
desired.
b) formulae which i can use to forecast figures.
I will be very grateful if you can help me out with the problems.
