Default How do I eliminate :1 or :2 of a spreadsheet?

You probably click Window/New Window as some point. To return to a single
window goto any window other than 1:1, and click the Close Window command
button in the upper righthand corner of the active window, not the close
application button in the application title bar.

Somehow I created a duplicate spreadsheet, but can't delete it without
deleting the original. They open and close simultaneously. I simply want to
eliminate the :2 version. It's annoying and confusing to anyone that doesn't
realize what they may be looking at. Honestly don't know how I even created
it.

When I open 'file Name.xls' it opens both 'file Name:1.xls' and 'file
Name:2.xls'.

Thanks!
