Default Menus / Links associated with right-mouse-click lost!

And even worse, reinstalling excel wouldn't have helped.

I think lots of IT staff just suggest that because they're at a loss and it'll
get you off their backs for a few minutes.

You may want to try google to see if how many people have had similar problems
and some suggested solutions before contacting IT <bg.

I'd go here for lots of stuff first:

Yes it was when I was right-clicking on a cell that I lost my menu. Did
exactly as you said and voila - it's back!!!! Brilliant - this worked!!!
Thank you so much, you've saved the pain of having to reinstall Office as my
IT Helpdesk suggested!!

Are you writing about the menu that shows up when rightclick in a cell--there
are lots of things you can rightclick on.

If it's just the cell rightclick menu:
Open excel
hit alt-f11 to get to the VBE (where macros live)
hit ctrl-g to see the immediate window
type this and hit enter:
application.commandbars("cell").enabled = true
and then type this and hit enter
application.commandbars("cell").reset

And then back to excel to test it out.

I've lost the ability to use my right-mouse click to bring up menus and
associated links in Excel (only - other office programs still support this
ability eg. Word/PPT still ok). This came about after I was using a
spreadsheet which had macros I believe associated with the right mouse click.
I've checked my macros in Excel and currently have nothing associated with
this saved and am at a loss as to how I get the use of my right mouse click
back.
