Default Need term for data series

Since the data is from jan 2004 to date won't that be like annual or would
year mean start date of data....not sure why i'm sooooo concerned with this
do people really examine these that close....

Instead of the term annual average, use the term:

average year-to-date

The listener (or reader) will then understand this is just an estimate of
the annual average, improving as the months go by.

I have a rolling average graph that starts Jan 2004 and is updated every
month - there is a benchmark, rolling average and than an annual
average.....my problem is that I don't think that annual is the correct word
because annual means year total and the end of line only equals 7 months.
Please help me find the right word or let me know if i'm overthinking this
Thanks
