I am trying to do a vlook up on a table of data. The table of data is
based
on another formula so the value that is being searched for is formula
based
which is returning a #N/A value, can i get around this??

One way, if I have understood you correctly:

=IF(ISERROR(your lookup formula), "Does not exist", your lookup formula)
