Default can u add common info to a cells in a column with out doing @

Assuming the "existing" numbers are in Column A from A1:A3000

In B1 enter ="205" & A1

Double-click on the fill handle of B1 to copy down.

Fill handle is the little black lump on bottom right corner of B1. Hover the
cursor over this lump until it turns into a black cross.

D-click at that point.

OR drag the fill handle down as far as you wish.

When happy with the results, copy column B and in place, EditPaste
SpecialValuesOKEsc.

Now delete original column A.

Sure we have a group on 3000 serial numbers that were enter by using the
last 7 number and not all 10 . We are trying to determine if there is a
function that will allow us to add 205 to all the exsiting cells
Exisiting need to be
CDB1002 205CDB1002
CDB1003 205CDB1003
CDB1004 205CDB1004
CDB1005 205CDB1005
CDB1006 205CDB1006

Perhaps post a few details about what you want added to what and where.

Or will you be happy with just "Yes", which is the answer to your specific
question.
