Default autofilter does not hide unwanted results

Hi rewrites

Do you have a empty row in your data ?

Try the whole data range and then use AutoFilter

Hi

I'm using excel 2002 and have a worksheet with approx. 450 row entries
and a 10 column list header.

For some reason, when I apply the autofilter function the results seem
to be 'sorted' rather than unwanted data being hidden.

For example: I have a simple 'yes' and 'no' entry for one column - the
autofilter provides dropdown list: all - top ten - yes - no - custom.
If I select 'yes', all the entries in that list (including all the
'no's') are still visible - the filter does not seem to be hiding
unwanted data. It also does not list the results correctly - in the
above example, two 'yes' results are returned top of the list followed
by a list of 'no's', but further down the list there are more 'yes'
results.

All very strange as it did work before without problem. I hope it all
makes sense. Thanks in advance for any hlep available.

PH
