Default Separating Names in a cell

You could try this to see if it is what you are after.

Data....text to columns...delimited...then check 'other' as the delimiter
and put the & symbol in the box. This should split any names seperated by
the "&"

I have a lengthy trade list of some mom & pop businesses. They have used two
columns for the first and last names. However, for the first name they
included both mom & pop in that cell (i.e. Harold & Lucy). Is there any
formula to pull those first names into two separate cells?
