Stephen Bullen has a workbook with a scrollable chart range.

Download it and have a look at the methods used.

Go down to Charting Example and select FunChrt7.zip

I created a chart to show the span of a year in the x-axis (long chart). I
created it as a new sheet, not embedded in the current worksheet. I like
this view better because you don't see all of the cells in the background.
However, the chart is cramped onto the one page (is in landscape view also).
Is there a way to freeze panes in this chart view so that I can scroll across
the entire chart without having it crammed into the visible page? If not, do
I have to embed it into a worksheet to scroll it. If so, how do I set panes
on a chart?
