How do I get a value to repeat itself if it's under or over a certain value.

for example. Is a value is greater than 5 in one cell, then I want to
repeat it in another column of cells
I want to do the same for when a value is less than say, 5.1 ... and have it
repeat in a different column of cells.

What's the easiest way to do that?
