Default Accenting letters in Excel

For me, Alt 232 returns this: Φ
and Alt 138 returns: è

If your machine returns different characters, do you have any ideas what the
difference is?
Thanks!

You can use Char() entries.

Hold down <Alt, and use the numbers from the NUM keypad, *not* the numbers
under the function keys:

<Alt0200 = È
<Alt0201 = É
<Alt0232 = è
<Alt0233 = é
