My appologies. I have created a test file in Excel, then loaded it into
OOo Calc and Gnumeric. Gnumeric didn't recalculate it automatically, so
it appeared that it gave the same results as Excel because it was still
displaying the Excel-calculated values.

Begs the question why Gnumeric didn't automatically recalc the file
when it opened.
