Default MS Excel should handle dates before 1900!

This suggestion has been out here for YEARS - FIX IT NOW for ALL VERSIONS. We
pay enough money for this software. Birth dates and Historical dates go back
before 01/01/1900 and should stored and used the SAME way. I have an Access
db with historical dates then try to copy them or use them in EXCEL and it is
not correct.
Don't even bother suggesting the ADDIN again NO addin should be NEEDED for
dates. IT is totally ridiculous that all dates back in HISTORY can't be used
correctly and the same. OTHER software handles dates with no problem - so
should microsoft office excel in ANY version.

Please update the Excel program to handle dates before 1/1/1900. Currently I
have to enter older dates as strings and then jump through hoops to use them
as actual dates. dBase, FoxPro and heck even Clipper handle pre-1900 dates
without any problem, so why can't a great product like Excel do the same?
