Default How do I get rid of the " read only" on a file I want to make chan

Read-only can come from a few different sources.

1. If the file was burned to CD it will be read-only. Change its attributes in
Windows Explorer after you have copied it back to Hard Drive.

2. Could have been saved that way under FileSave AsToolsGeneral Options "read
only recommended".

3. Excel crashed while that file was open. This would leave a *.tmp file in
tour Temp folder. Re-boot first, then clean out you Temp folder.

A warning here...........do not save to or open files directly from removable
media. Can lead to corrupted files.

Save first to Hard Drive then copy to CD
