As this has taken a while to get an answer I will give you a suspected
answer, (For pocket PC). You will need to get the data first into a contact
application on the PC, e.g Outlook or Outlook Express. This is a simple
FileImport operation

Now when you sync your Palm to the PC it should allow you to select Outlook
or Outlook Express as your source of contacts

2-Stage if you like, but once done you should be able to update either on
the PC or in the Palm and sync will update them
