Default What is ^

David,

Doesn't =2**5 equate to =2*10^5 rather than =2^5?

What is ^ in a formula? Thanks.

Raised to a power.
2^5 is 2 to the power 5 (sometimes also written as 2**5) =2*2*2*2*2.
