Default Color Fill for a cell does not appear on Excel screen

Sorry JA, I am not sure if I understand exact what is hapen in your
spreadsheet.

Couldn't you see the information on the screen, but you see on the print
preview?

it the answer is yes, try to selected all cells and go to FORMAT |
CONDITIONAL FORMAT | EXCLUDE and selecte the 3 conditions, also format the
range color and the text color as automatic.

hope this helps
Regards from Brazil

Marcelo,

Thank you for the response. The problem exists on the entire page -- all
cells. Opening a new spreadsheet does not help in that when I fill (hit the
bucket icon) the cell or cells do not fill. A print preview and print will
display the filled in cells. I checked an could not see that I had a
conditional format in effect. (I do truly appreciate your response. I've
been attacking this on and off for three days!)

After selecting a cell and hitting the color fill button, the cell is not
filled. However, I can print the table and the fill appears correctly. I'm
reduced to putting an "X" in a cell as opposed to filling it in.
