Hi John,
If your formula needs to be in column G, insert a new column G.
In G1 enter your formula, =SUM(A1:F1)
Highlight cell G1.
Place the cursor in the lower right corner of the cell. When it changes to a
plus (+), double click the left mouse buttton and the formula will copy down
automatically.

Hi I am new to this forum.
Can you help me with a problem.
I was given an inventory in a spreadsheet. My experience with Excel is
limited, but I am a quick learner.
Here is my problem.
I have a column that should have formulas as follows:
=SUM(A1:F1)
the two cells are always supposed to be on the same row.
Somehow in the middle of the column I find this happenning:
=SUM(A234:f236)
the rest of the column formulas are offset by two row values.
Is there any easy way to edit this enite spreadsheet without having to
actually edit each individual cell?
Thank You,
John
