Default Memory or power issue

Are both machines running the same version of Windows and the same version of
Excel? Can you post the code here so that we can examine it for the
possibility that it may be malfunctioning. Finally, what's the system at
work set up like (CPU and RAM)?

Finally, confirm that it actually completes running at home and does its
job, just takes longer rather than choking up and tossing up an error message
at you.

Unless this is a really unusual workbook or macro, I don't know why 512MB
RAM wouldn't be adequate. Not unless you have a lot of other things running
on the home system also. I use a Sony at work much like your Compaq (2.4 GHz
P4, 512 MB RAM) and have worked with some very large workbooks and databases
without any real problems. It may not be as fast as my X2 4800+, but it gets
the jobs done reliably.

This may sound like a macro issue but it is actually a resources issue....I
think. I have an excel file at work that has a macro that is fairly involved
but does not really do anything that complex. At work I can run the macro
and it takes about 7 seconds to complete. Then if needed I can run it again
and again with the same process time. At home I run it the first time which
takes about 7 seconds to complete. The next time it takes about 1.5
minutes. After it runs the first time and completes, then to just insert a
line takes about 4 seconds. My computer at home is a Compaq Presario 2.4 GHz
with 512 MB memory. Can anyone help me with this issue? Is there something
I have not setup properly on the home pc memory or not setup properly with
the excel?

Thank you for your help.
