To make it more robust try one of these:

=IF(COUNTIF('Names List'!A:A,A1),VLOOKUP(A1,'Names List'!A:B,2,0),"")

=IF(ISNA(MATCH(A1,'Names List'!A:A,0)),"",VLOOKUP(A1,'Names List'!A:B,2,0))

=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(A1,'Names List'!A:B,2,0)),"",VLOOKUP(A1,'Names
List'!A:B,2,0))
