How do I get rid of a 2nd instance (xls:2)?
It's not really two copies. It's two windows open to the same workbook.
Select the window you want to close and hit ctrl-w.
Then save the file.
(I think it's easier using ctrl-w than explaining which of the X's you should
click to close the which window.)

I have a spreadsheet. Whenever I open it, 2 copies open -- name.xls:1 and
name.xls:2. If I close one, both close. Driving me crazy, it is. It must
have something to do with the Window command but I do not see how to retun to
a simple life with 1 instance only.
