Default Conditionally Hiding Rows

D is a column in most worksheets, did you mean to hide Row 8 (possible
with VBA code), or column D (not possible for your purposes)?

I appreciate your help. I have a spreadsheet that contains several
worksheets. On one of the worksheets, the values in one column are
determined by the results of an IF statement that looks at conditions
in another worksheet.

The user wants a row in the dependent worksheet to be automatically
hidden if the results of the IF statement are a certain value.

For example, if the IF statement in cell D8 returns "" (or blank), then
the user wants row D to be automatically hidden. Is there a way to do
this? I am not sure of the version of Excel he is using, but feel sure
it is 2000 or higher.
