Default pythagoras theorem help needed

Well, I'll help you do what looks like a class assignment.

What is the relationship that Pythagoras' Theorem (PT) describe?

What elements of the relationship map on to the rows and columns you
described for dividing the room?

Now, you know two of the three components of the PT. Calculate the third.

In the context of the room problem what does this third component mean? Do
you have to make any assumptions so that this third component describes your
position in the room?

hi,
i am trying to find out position of an object inside a room using excel
with pythagora's theorem. i really have no experience of working with
excel before. if i am in a room which is 70m*70mt, i need to divide
that room into 7 rows and colums each of 10mt. in this case i divide it
into 7 rows and colums of 10cm each with excel. then if i am able to
see what position i am in the room, i mean which colum and row, using
pythagoras theorem i will be able to find where my actual position is
inside the room.
i really have no clue how to do this. pls help me on it.
