use the following UDF (only on workbook level):

DocProps = ActiveWorkbook.BuiltinDocumentProperties _
(prop)

DocProps = CVErr(xlErrValue)
End Function


and enter in a cell
=DOCPROPS("last save time")
(format cell as date)
