Default How can I count conditional blank cells?

Try something like this:

C1: =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100="John")*ISBLANK(B1:B100))

Change range references to suit your situation.

Does that help?

I want to count blank cells in one column where a certain value exists in
another column. DCOUNT and COUNTIF don't work for this purpose. For
example, I want to count the blank cells in column B where the Cells in
Column A equal "John":

A B
1 John 5
2 John
3 John 7
4 Mike 1
