I have a spreadsheet which contains data in cells.
The data begins with an alpha character, i am wanting to know if
someone could help with a formula that would start with the second
character, which is a number and total the cells.

Example:

a1 = K12500050
a2 = K12500300
a3 = total of a1, a2
