To sum even row numbers: ( A2,A4, A6,...)
=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(ROW(A1:A99),2)=01),A1:A99)

To sum odd row numbers: (A1, A3, A5, ...)
=SUMPRODUCT(--(MOD(ROW(A1:A99),2)=1),A1:A99)
