We are using Office 2002 SP3, including Outlook and Excel. This is on a
WinXP SP 2 Workstation. The problem with excel occurs regardless of who is
logged into this PC (and the user can be authenticated to the company domain
or local workstation, it makes no difference).

I tried disabling the "ignore other applications" in the general tab of the
Excel options and I ensured the path to the Exel.exe is correct with the /e
switch in the registry (following knowlege base / newgroup info on the
subject). Doing this had no effect on the problem with opening Exel
attachments in Outlook.

I would appreciate anyone's insight into this matter as it is an
inconvienience to the user to have to acknowlege several errors just to open
an Excel Attachment in Email. (The user regularly gets several as part of
daily duties).

Thanks in advance.
