That's the whole point of my question. I have 50 some people here that use,
and update, these sheets and I would prefer to just have the program do the
work for us. I don't want to open the file and have to do a lot of
manipulation. It's all about trying to make things easier with some time
saving sheets. I wouldn't mind it reflecting an error as the result of the
formula, i just don't want it to change the formula itself.

THINK about how you reference a sheet that doesn't exist. Suggest you clear
the cells, especially if you intend to use Monday again next week to supply
the data for your destination sheet. Failing that approach, change your
formulas to values before deleting the source worksheet.

Does any one know of a way to stop excel from changing the sheet name used

in
a formula once the sheet name has been changed or deleted?

I have a weekly schedule where the days get forced in from another
application as daily sheets. Monday, tuesday, wednesday, and so on. This
causes excel to rename the duplicates monday1...etc... Or if i delete the
old days once I'm finished it will give me the #REF! error because i just
deleted the sheet name awaiting import of the new data. I don't want to

have
to go in and change all my formulas using find and replace to fix these.

I
just want it to work automatically. I want to be able to delete the

sheets
once i'm done but leave my working sheet alone and intact as is.

If you need more info, just let me know.

Thanks,
