Default Bob Phillips - guidance needed

I lived in the UK for awhile and I believe "throwing a wobbly" means
"throwing a tantrum" or maybe in US "going ballistic", "making dog's
breakfast" is making a big mess of something

Hate to be silly in this newsgroup, but I have to know the relative
severity
of

1) throwing a wobbly, and
2) making a dog's breakfast

It's a sad truth that we in the States tend to run our words through a
blanderizer, and those two phrases, fabulous as they might be, would never
make it past the blanderizer filter
