Does anyone know how to calculate a rate per hour?

I have a value $108.10 and a number of hours 39:46:00, both of which
are changing on a regular basis.

The usual formula Value/Hours does not give a dollar value and does
not appear to be a logical result.

Any help would be appreciated.
