Default excel misbehaving

no. in other cases vlookup with comma works. but in one or two particular
files this behaviour occurs. that is why I suspect that the file is
corrupted. Somewhere in this newsgroup I saw solutin to recover corrupted
file. shall look into it. thanks

Is there a chance that somebody changed the number/list settings from
the control panel? Will it work if you try
=vlookup(a6;

i.e. semicolon instead of comma?
