Default What is a field name in excel when making a pivot table?

thank u for the reply, i had column headers, the problem was i had unused or
blank cells in my rows, if you've journalized before you know what i mean.
for the accounts you have to stretch one row out to fit all the data, rather
than just one cell overflowing to the next on some accounts. hopefully this
will help you if this question is asked again. : - ) thanks again
