Default Specify dimensions for Excel charts

You can do the whole chart. Hold Shift, then click on the chart, so it is
surrounded by white handles, not black handles. Go to Format menu Object,
and on the Size tab, set the size. This works on the overall chart object,
not the plot area, which is the rectangle defined by the axes. Adjusting
these to fit a predetermined size requires VBA programming.

It would be great if one could actually specify the dimensions of the axes
of
a graph, or the graph itself without eyeballing. Could ther for example be
a
function hat lets me set the lenths of the x and y axes to 4 inches by 4
inches. I do not want to esimate anything.
