Default How can I change a # in an array formula for a whole column?

If you've been good, you might be able to select that column and do:

Edit|replace
what: $y$438
with: $y$1000
replace all

But if there's no data under that table and it won't matter if rows 1 and 2 are
in that table:

edit|Replace
what: $a$3:$y$438
with: $a:$y
replace all

(why worry about extending the range later?)

I need to change a VLOOKUP formula =VLOOKUP(D566,'Master
Data'!$A$3:$Y$438,25,FALSE)
The 438 should be 1000. Can I change for the whole column or one cell at a
time?
