Default one column on my excel spreadsheet will NOT format the date
Couple of things...
First "##/##/##" is not an Excel date format. Try "mm/dd/yyyy" or
something similar.

Second 061405 is not the same as 06/14/2005. The former is 61405 days
from 1/1/1900 or 2/12/2068. Enter your date with the slash marks to
avoid confusing Excel.
