Default Formatting web imported data correctly

Hi folks,

I'm trying to set up a workbook on the NFL teams. In importing the standings
from http://www.nfl.com/standings , I'm having a difficult time in
formatting the results for the Home, Road, AFC, NFC, DIV columns. The team
results for these columns are shown for New England @ home is 5-2 (i.e.:
five wins and two losses).
The only results that show up correctly are when a team has no victories in
any of the cells to where it will show as 0-4 or something similar.

If I change the formatting for those columns to text and then do a refresh
data, the data shows up as dates, i.e: the 5-2 shows up as 2-May.

I've tried a number of variations in customized formatting, i.e: (##-##),
"##-##", and so on. I find no help on this particular issue

Any clue what the correct formatting would be to show the correct results?

TIA,

Bob
