Type in this formula where you want the result.

=AVERAGE(IF(A2:A8="Nick",B2:B8,""))

This is an array formula so commit with Ctrl-Shift-Enter which will
result in

{=AVERAGE(IF(A2:A8="Nick",B2:B8,""))}
