I would go with the copy down part.
Easy enough to do.
Select column A and F5SpecialBlanksOK
in active blank enter = sign then arrow up or point to cell above.
Hit CTRL + ENTER.
With column still selected CopyPaste Special(in place)ValuesOKEsc
Stick around, I'm sure someone else will come up with a formula than negates
the need to do this.
