=SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT($A$1:$A$100,"MMMM")=E1),$C$1:$C$100)
and in G1 enter
=SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT($A$1:$A$100,"MMMM")=E1),$B$1:$B$100)

imagine it would be some kind of lookup function or count function.
