When I close Excel with application "x" I get a prompt for each and every
workbook I have open and have made changes to.

The beauty of Windows, perhaps taken for granted by users who didn't work in
DOS days and before, was that all programs that run under it were to give
computer users an environment where they could jump from one program to
another, understand the commands, and expect consistency. Okay, this is a
little problem, but what we should all be striving for is excellence, not
"sort of good".

One could argue in either direction, but this fuzziness has lead me to
lose
a lot of work, particularly when I am rushing to meet a deadline. Yes,

my error, but....
